Features and uses:
The
Chamaecyparis thyoides Top Point is an evergreen born in 1985 in the Netherlands, belongs to the family of cupressaceae and is also called "false cypress".
It is a
dwarf conifera that
develops vertically, assuming the shape of a cone. Its dense foliage grows on brown erect branches; the
needle leaves are green from spring to late autumn, while they
are reddish in winter.
The
Chamaecyparis t. Top Point has a
very slow growth and in time it can reach about 1 m high and 0.50 m wide, so it is very well suited for
pot cultivation to decorate balconies and terraces. It is perfect also in
small gardens, both as a single bush, and combined with other essences, to create a colorful evergreen flowerbed.
Very important is the autonomy of dwarf conifers, as it is not necessary to prune, become ill,
do not require frequent irrigation. Some things to keep in mind are to place the
Chamaecyparis t. Top Point in a sunny or semi-shaded position, and
in a slightly acidic or acidic soil, damp and well drained.
Some combinations to create evergreen, but colorful and great-looking angles are:
Chamaecyparis l. Sunkist,
Chamaecyparis p. Baby Blue,
Juniperus p. King of Spring,
Juniperus Blue Star,
Thuja Amber Glow,
Thuja Golden Tuffet
