Features and uses:
The
Thuja occidentalis Smaragd is a dwarf conifera belonging to the cupressaceae family, originating in North America.
This conifer is distinguished by its narrow and erect portrayal, showing a
dense pyramidal long hair, which resembles a flame. Persistent and needle-shaped leaves are
emerald green, bright and intense.
The
Thuja occ. Smaragd has a very slow and small growth and is great for pottery to be placed in balconies and terraces, or in small green areas, both for hedges and mixed flower beds
Private gardens and public parks are perfect for hosting this delightful
conifer, with
no maintenance obligation: there is no need for abundant irrigation, pruning is not mandatory, it is not subject to illness. It is very resistant to cold climates, it is also well protected from the heat, if not too excessive.
How to enter the Thuja occ. Smaragd in mixed meadows? Due to its size it is advisable to place this conifer on the bottom of the lawn, and to continue with varieties with crawling or spherical shapes, perhaps of different color, such as:
Chamaecyparis Snow White,
Chamaecyparis p. Baby Blue,
Juniperus King of Spring,
Juniperus Squamata Blue Swede,
Thuja occ. Aber Glow,
Thuja pli. 4ever Goldy.
