Features and uses:
Juniperus squamata Blue Swede is a dwarf conifera belonging to the cupressaceae family, originally from Asia.
This juniper is an evergreen, like its kind, and has an upholstery. It develops long branches from which numerous other small branches start, on which the pointed,
blue-yellow-colored leaves grow. In the winter they take on
silvery reflections and create a beautiful landscape when they cover with frost.
Juniperus Squash Blue Swede is very simple in terms of irrigation, and is very resistant to diseases. This
dwarf conifera tolerates the cold and the heat is not excessive, it prefers
sunny or semi-shaded positions and fits well to different types of soil.
Its growth is very slow and low, so it is a great plant for those with little space gardens and for those who do not have time to prune the plants.
Thanks to its
roof covering, this
Juniperus is also perfect
for covering sloping and sloping terrain, which is usually difficult to handle, and also prevents the growth of unwanted weeds, without having to use dirt.
This juniper is
well suited to be housed as a single shrub, or even mixed blends, possibly associated with other ornamental plants or other dwarf conifers, such as:
Chamaecyparis l. Sunkist,
Chamaecyparis o. Aurora,
Juniperus h. King of Spring,
Picea abies Little Gem,
