Thuya occ. Sunny Smaragd® is an evergreen conifer that belongs to the family of cupressaceae, patented recently in Holland.
This dwarf conifera has a
pyramid bearing and is distinguished by its particular
bright yellow foliage, which stands out among the many shades of green and blue of other plants belonging to the category of conifers.
The
Thuja occ. Sunny Smaragd® works well in
sunny or semi-shaded positions, and
tolerates the different types of soil, but it is important that it is well drained, as any water stagnation could damage the root system of the plant.
Like other
dwarf conifers is very resistant to cold, it is not parasitic and, given its slow growth, it is not necessary to perform frequent pruning. These qualities make Thuja occ. Great in small gardens, it can be used to create
not very high hedges, such as a
