Features and uses:
The
Juniperus horizontalis Blue Chip originates in Asia and America and is a dwarf conifera belonging to the cupressaceae family.
It is an
evergreen juniper from the
creeping portraiture, which develops long branches covered by many squamous leaves with shades ranging
from gray to glaucous blue. In winter, with low temperatures, the tops take
violet shades, which vanish with the arrival of spring.
Among the characteristics of the
Juniperus horizontalis Blue Chip, it is important to remember that it
resists very well in the cold and also fits well into the excessive heat. It is very
resistant to disease and does not require pruning.
Thanks to its
soil coverance it is fair to say that it will prevent the growth of weeds and is also perfect for covering scarp and disjointed terrains.
Given the fairly contained dimensions of this dwarf conifer is also indicated
for non-large gardens or
in mixed flower beds, possibly associated with dwarf conifers of different shapes and different colors, to create delightful landscapes.
