Abelia grandiflora Auderose is originally from Asia and America and is a very popular ornamental shrub belonging to the family of caprifoliaceae.
This bush produces a rich flowering in spring and summer, consisting of small flowers in the shape of a small pink bell.
The leaves are semi-persistent, small, elliptical, smooth to the touch and dark green.
Abelia gr. Auderose prefer positions in full sun or half shadows, best if protected from strong and cold winds. It likes a soft and non-calcareous soil, asks for regular irrigation and according to its space requirements, it can be pruned at the end of flowering. If housed in optimal conditions, the adult can reach up to 1.5 / 2 mt
Excellent in both private ornamental greenery and in public greenery, it can be used as a single specimen to create planters, medium sized hedges or mixed flower beds.
