Festuca glauca Blauglut is an ornamental evergreen grass native to Europe and belongs to the Poaceae family.
This
ornamental grass looks like a dense tuft of
filiform leaves, slightly fleshy and smooth to the touch,
glaucous blue, with silvery reflections. Usually it does not exceed 30/40 cm in height.
The
inflorescence appears at the beginning of summer, in the form of a small spike of gray-blue color with silvery reflections. In the autumn it becomes brown and is supported by long stems that float to the minimum of the wind.
The
advantages of Festuca glauca Blauglut are many, including longevity and excellent resistance to disease and drought. This graminacea does not need fertilizer and also adapts well to poor soils, and will also prevent the growth of unpopulated weeds.
